Sweet Victory At Screven
Andrew finally overcame the demons that have plagued him at the Screven Motorsports Complex by winning
the biggest event of the season - the 100 lap, $9000.00 to win Renegade Battle Royale. Starting from the fifth spot, Andrew patiently made his way
to the top spot. Despite some furious challenges from others and some wicked lapped traffic, once Andrew took the lead, he never let go and brought
the Number 62 home first!
The 2013 X-1R ProCup came to an end on 11//2/13 at Southern National Motorsports Park. Looking to end the year on a positive note,
Andrew posted a strong 5th-place qualifying effort to get the weekend started in a good direction. When the checkered flag fell, Andrew crossed the line in 7th place.
The finish also landed Andrew in the 7th spot in the season's final standings.
Mechanical Issues Continue
A strong run at Southern National Speedway on July 13 was cut short by a sheared pinion gear. This
setback was the second race in a row where Andrew has been unable to capitalize on a fast car to get a good finish because of problems
out of the team's control.
Run Goes Bad at Hickory
ASR began to gain more experience and confidence in the ProCup
Series as Andrew was able to lead many laps in the Catawba Valley
250 at the Hickory Motor Speedway on April 19. Late in the race,
however, while running near the top of the field,
the team lost the engine in the savannahpawn.com Impala and denying
Andrew the finish he deserved.
